Rating Methodology

A player's rating changes only after a rated match result has been confirmed. Matches that are not rated, such as scrims, do not affect it.

Ratings are kept separately for each game, so your rating in one game does not depend on how you play another.

Gamer Rating is one cross-game score built from your per-game ratings. Each game counts in proportion to how many matches you have played in it.

Each leaderboard has its own ordering:

• ELO board: lists players per game once they have played 5 rated matches in that game.
• Players board: ranked by tournament wins.
• Teams and Power Rankings: public teams ranked by matches won.

We do not publish the exact rating formula or its tuning values, and they may change over time. This page describes how ratings behave, not the internal settings.
